In his seventh year in Tampa with Palace Sports and Entertainment and the Tampa Bay Lightning, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Sean Henry is responsible for all business activities, business development, building improvements, governmental relations, and facility and event operations.
In the six years Henry has spent working for PS&E in Tampa, he has helped the company turn the St. Pete Times Forum into an arena lauded for its industry innovation and one of the busiest venues in the country. Henry has spearheaded the restructuring of virtually every service and business relations contract and, the design, construction and operation of all the improvements to the Times Forum during PS&E’s tenure. This aggressive business approach has allowed the organization to elevate client and guest experiences, while also improving the arena’s financial bottom line.
Henry, 37, joined the Palace Sports and Entertainment staff after working for Volume Services, a leading national food service subcontractor in the sports and entertainment industry. Upon graduation from the State University of New York system, the West Islip, NY native joined Volume Services, working on the company’s PS&E account for The Palace of Auburn Hills.
As the account’s General Manager, he helped The Palace earn a national reputation for customer service and quality, also helping PS&E to establish the DTE Energy Music Theatre as the nation’s top amphitheater. For his work, Henry was promoted within Volume Services from The Palace account to a position in St. Louis, responsible for multiple facilities as well
as solidifying the relocation of the St. Louis Rams, and the completion of their new home, The Edward Jones Dome. He was also a member of the company’s sales and contract procurement team, where his primary functions were to secure new venue contracts and then to facilitate stadium renovation and construction. In that capacity he played a major role in securing the contracts for the St. Louis Rams, and The Washington Redskins as well as assisting in the construction and design of their respective new facilities. In this capacity he also played a key role in securing an array of minor league baseball accounts and facilitating the construction of their venues.
