In his seventh year with the Tampa Bay Lightning and the St. Pete Times Forum, Senior Vice President of Communications Bill Wickett came to Tampa from Detroit, where he was Director of Media Relations for the Detroit Pistons for six seasons. In his current role, Wickett oversees all communications and community relations efforts and strategies for the Lightning, the St.
Pete Times Forum and the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League, including media relations and publications for the hockey team.

Wickett, 37, began his public relations career as Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations for the University of Michigan in 1991, where his responsibilities included publications and media relations for the Michigan men’s basketball program. The 1989 Michigan graduate worked in his alma mater’s athletic department for three seasons before he joined the Pistons in 1993.

The Detroit native resides in Oldsmar with his wife, Mikki, and their children, Sean and Jane.
